HOW MUCH DOES YOUR CAR WEIGH, Do you keep all your belongings in your trunk or heavy item inside your vehicle as storage? Well, get it out of there and put your vehicle on a diet. Just by keeping the vehicle at its regular weight, you can save up to 5% on your next fuel tank.
MAP YOURSELF, Do you take the same route everyday because your favorite coffee shop or restaurant is on your way. Google map your route and see if there is a simpler way to get there. GET FLUSHED, Many of you have heard about injection system flushing and fuel system tune-ups. Keeping your vehicle well tuned will help clean up varnish and gum build up in your engine. FLUSHING YOUR FUEL INJECTORS will help maximize the injector spray pattern. There are several things you should do just before a long road trip during the winter. There are several things that can lead to break down:

Heater and Air Conditioner: Definitely important to have a working heater in the winter. Your Air conditioner and heater system also does your defrost and that is very important on cold days.
Wipers: Wiper blades should be changed annually, but can be ruined when used on a frozen windshield.
Lights: Very important for night driving especially in extreme weather to be visible as well as for you to see and be safe.
Brakes: You don’t want to find out your brakes were almost gone while you are driving down a mountain somewhere far from Florida.
Leaks: This is important to make sure a vital part of your car isn’t failing or could fail on a long road trip. Also you could quickly run out of oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, or power steering fluid, which can cause another problem down the road.
Belts: A broken belt can cause a world of nightmares like a bad engine, or drained battery. These can leave you stranded for sure.
Hoses: A real quick reality check is having a hose blow out on the highway and you don’t realize it till your engine is overheated and blown. Hoses can be visually checked and most of the time these annoyances can be taken care of before your trip.
Tires: No one wants to be out on the road with a flat tire much less loose control of your car because the tires are bald and weren’t doing their jobs.
